Happy Birthday Rosanna!

Ocotber 28th for you, October 27th for me. The same year: 1974. Becouse we are pride of our age! 
I know, you don't want I tell to everybody how old are we.  
But as you told me in our thirties we are like a flower that blooms in spring. Well, actually you told me when we were exactly 30, but we still are in time,  isn't it? 
So this is for you dear, for the spring flower that is in your mind and in your heart. No matter years are going on.
Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to me!

What you need

for the base:
ml 200 milk
ml 200 butter
g 180 flour
g 100 sugar
g 30 cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

for the icing:
g 100 dark choccolate
g 50 butter
1 spoon water

to decorate:
grains of colorate sugar
sugar flower

  • put in a bowl all the powders (flour, sugar, vanilla, cocoa, baking powder). Add very slowly melted butter and milk. Mix quickly and put in the mold;
  • bake at 180° for 20-25 minutes.Remove from the oven and let cool;
  • for the frosting in a pot mix cutted butter with cutted dark choco. Add the water and let them at low heat until they become a cream. Let it cool a little;
  • cover the cake with the icing and decorate as you like with sugar grains and sugar flowers.
